photo: DLRC Welcome to the College of Continuing Education (CCE) Web site. As a student-centered vehicle for educational leadership and innovation, the CCE represents the Training and Education Command's (TECOM) worldwide distance learning (DL) outreach program. We exist to provide DL globally to Marines, other U.S. military service members, Department of Defense employees, and international military personnel. We offer distance education and training programs through an online learning network called MarineNet, faculty-led seminars in support of officer professional military education distance education programs, technology-enabled learning resource centers, a visiting scholar program, interactive courseware, and quality self-paced paper-based correspondence courses. In addition, student-tailored academic support services and administrative assistance are available through the college and its network of seven satellite campuses managed by our Regional Coordinators. The CCE faculty is composed of an experienced and diverse group of professionals with a unique blend of academic expertise and operational experience. Faculty members include active duty and reserve Marines, government civilian employees, and contracted adjunct faculty.

CCE Student Programs

  • MarineNet: The Marine Corps' online learning network provides Marines with access to both military and civilian education programs. It contains libraries of exciting and challenging online courses, accessible from any PC on base or through the Internet with high-speed access. MarineNet offers courses 24 hours a day, seven days a week and allows you to take tests online and receive credit. For a complete list of courses currently offered on MarineNet, please follow this link to the
course listing page on the MarineNet site. For your first course on MarineNet, we recommend Maximizing Your Distance Learning Experience

  • Learning Resource Centers/Deployable Learning Resource Centers (LRCs/DLRCs): These technology-enabled learning centers are stationed wherever Marines are training. The LRCs/DLRCs allow Marines who don't have a computer to access MarineNet.

  • Officer Professional Military Education Distance Education Program: The CCE offers the Command and Staff College and Expeditionary Warfare School Distance Education Seminar programs. These evening seminars programs are managed by our Regional Coordinators who oversee our seven satellite campuses.

  • Video Teletraining (VTT): The Marine Corps Satellite Education Network (MCSEN) is a fielded network of VTT systems that provide Marines with the opportunity and flexibility to obtain training and off-duty education via distance learning.

  • Student Services: The CCE offers a variety of student support services to include enrollment assistance, testing, grading, remediation, and diploma production. In addition, the CCE supports the Visiting Scholar Program, Battlefield Studies Program, and provides DEP support to deployed Marine Expeditionary Units (MEUs).
Additional CCE programs are described in our general information section.
