Directorate of Environmental Health Engineering
We are a multi-faceted group of programs comprised of engineers, scientists, technicians,
and administrative personnel whose mission is to enhance readiness by providing
worldwide support to environmental health and environmental quality programs of
the United States Army and the DOD.
Air Pollution
Our services include source emission (stack) testing, air pollution health impact
assessments, risk management plans, and EPCRA reports/toxic release inventories.
Alaska Field Office
This mission of the Field Office is to provide onsite environmental and occupational health consultative support to USARAK, 611th ASG, and other eligible organizations
Ambient Air Quality
Our expertise includes ambient air quality sampling, modeling, Title V permits,
and air emission inventories.
Operational Noise
Our areas of expertise include noise monitoring, public relations assistance,
integrating noise modeling into GIS, and awareness and mitigation training.
Ground Water & Solid Waste
We focus on the identification and evaluation of the impact of known or potential
releases of hazardous constituents to the soil or ground water and the evaluation
of solid waste management practices and facilities.
Hazardous &
Medical Waste
We are experts in the training and evaluation of hazardous and medical waste management,
pollution prevention opportunity assessments, evaluation of new environmental
control technologies, and guidance on chemical stockpile emergency preparedness
and planning.
Surface Water and Wastewater
Our specialty is wastewater treatment, NPDES permits, effluent toxicity, pretreatment,
storm water, pollution prevention, sewage sludge, USTs, spills, and surface
waters.
Water Supply Management
Our expertise includes drinking water system evaluations, water treatment processes,
sampling requirements, and SDWA compliance, along with water microbiological
lab evaluation and certification.
