Global Medicine Course for FY 2005
The dates for this course are not available at this time, however, we will be taking applications. Historically, the course is held at Brooks AFB in the Jan-Feb timeframe. As soon as the dates are solidified, you will be notified.

Funding is limited - selected soldiers will receive per diem only - travel funding is the responsibility of the soldiers local unit.

Intermediate Industrial Hygiene Topics
Applicants must have a BS in a related field or attendance at the 6H-F11, "Basic Industrial Hygiene Course", presented at the AMEDD Center & School, Fort Sam Houston, Texas or attended an IH Course either through AIHA, OSHA or an accredited university. Course spaces are reserved for MEDCOM military and civilian personnel. Other qualified personnel can attend on a space available basis.

Military Tropical Medicine Course
The four-week curriculum covers a broad range of topics in tropical diseases, with corresponding laboratory sessions, including helminths, malaria and other protozoa. There is a comprehensive lab practical and written exam at the end of the course, as well as weekly lab quizzes. This is a military course and, as such, qualifies for entry in Section VI (Military Education) of the Officer Record Brief. Please see the course description for more information.

Course Description

Radiation Protection Officers Course
USACHPPM will not be offering this class in 2005.

The Operational Radiation Safety course sponsored by the U.S. Army Chemical School, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, will qualify an individual as a Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) or Radiation Control Officer (RCO). Registration is accessed via ATRRS.

Pharmaceutical Waste Management - On-site Requests
Provides pharmacy personnel fundamental training in waste management ensuring proper waste identification and management through the pharmacy reducing liability, protecting human health and preserving the environment. Supports RCRA and other Federal training requirements.

Transport of Regulated Medical Waste
The course details provisions governing management and transport of Regulated Medical Waste (RMW), focusing onthe regulatory requirements as prescribed by the Dept of Transportation (DOT), Dept of Defense (DoD), International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regs, U.S. Postal Service Domestic Mail Manual, etc., including State management and transport requirements.

There are no CHPPM funding. It is your unit/installations responsibility to pay TDY and travel expenses.

Transport of Biomedical Materials (Refresher)
This course is now available online. Please complete the on-line application to receive your training materials.

Only personnel who have successfully completed the initial Transport of Biomedical Material (TBM) Course and are within 90 days of the expiration are permitted to take this course.

Forms received outside of the 90 day window will be deleted - and resubmission will be required.
Application for TBMED (Refresher) On-Line
This course must be completed within 30 days of receipt of materials.

This computer-based training is conducted using a CD-ROM and online quizzes, linked directly to this training site. The final examination is conducted via a proctor. You may contact Teresa Lewis, or Annjanette Ellison, Training Team Member if you have additional questions.

Tri-Service Vision Conservation and Readiness Course (CHPPM-6301)
The registration fee for this course is $250.00. Payment is made by one of the following methods - Money Orders or Checks, MIPRs (Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request, DD Form 448).
