USACHPPM STRATEGIC PLAN

Army Health Plan Goal #1: Ensure our military forces are deployed in a state of optimal health, equipped to protect themselves from disease and injury. 

USACHPPM Strategy:  Provide preventive medicine (PM) and health promotion capabilities to enable deployable forces to achieve and sustain medical readiness through health and fitness.

Objectives:

1.      Establish medical surveillance capabilities as defined in Army, Joint and
            DOD guidance focused on DOD populations of interest.
2.      Enhance risk assessment capabilities to address health threats.
3.      Develop a comprehensive injury prevention program for all Army personnel.
4.      Champion the HHA/MANPRINT programs for DA and Human Systems Integration for DOD.
5.      Develop Information Operations Capability.


Army Health Plan Goal #2:  Ensure that deploying medical units are trained, equipped, and capable of supporting the medical requirements of the deploying forces under any contingency.

USACHPPM Strategy:  Sustain USACHPPM capability to provide comprehensive PM support that enhances training, equipment and readiness to deploying medical units.

Objectives:

1.      Provide effective sustainment training to PM units.
2.      Enable deploying units with specialized equipment.
3.      Sustain the capability to deploy well-trained and equipped SMART teams and
            individuals capable of providing force health protection support to deployed units.


Army Health Plan Goal # 3:  Provide quality, accessible, cost-effective health services.

USACHPPM Strategy: Enhance the delivery of quality preventive health services to support the accomplishment of Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) and Military Health System (MHS) goals.

Objectives:

1.      Develop an integrated and comprehensive population health outcomes
            program in support of MHS managed care activities.
2.      Provide tools for self assessment of PM services provided at all echelons of support.
3.      Provide technical assistance to installation Health Promotion and
            PM assets to enable full implementation of PM program elements.

Objectives:

1.      Develop and implement a mechanism to ensure continuous
            process improvement to execute the USACHPPM mission.
2.      Transform the USACHPPM corporate culture to that of a learning organization.
3.      Provide state-of-art facilities for all USACHPPM elements.
4.      Make the employee USACHPPM’s most valuable asset.
5.      Prepare and implement a comprehensive human resource plan for training and
            development of USACHPPM employees.
6.      Develop and maintain an equipment modernization plan.
7.      Give every individual within USACHPPM the command-directed responsibility to
            sell USACHPPM and to help develop and accumulate satisfied customers.
