Navy Band Southeast's primary mission is to provide quality, motivating musical services to operational commanders on board ships that inspire patriotism, elevate esprit de corps, enhance retention, and foster pride in the Naval service and at armed forces bases ashore that enhance the Navy's image, reinforce recruiting efforts, increase public awareness, promote the professional reputation of the Navy, and provide a Navy presence throughout the Southeast.

As the only active duty military band in the state of Florida, Navy Band Southeast was established in August 1995 for the purpose of providing official musical support to Commander Naval Base, Jacksonville and surrounding Naval activities throughout the Southeastern United States.

Navy Band Southeast is one of 14 official Navy Bands. With highly trained professional musicians, the band is capable of performing a wide variety of music for every occasion. In addition, the band includes a wind ensemble, marching band, ceremonial band, rock bands "Pride" and "Liberty," and a variety of other performing groups providing public concerts throughout the Southeast.
