Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Command stands up in San Diego
CDR Charles Sternberg and fiancée?, Stacy Geere, share vows on the flight deck aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz? Commanding Officer, CAPT Robert J. Gilman (center), administered the vows as friends, Valerie (left) and Dave Sotero (right) looked on. Just moments before the wedding, CDR Sternberg retired after 20 years of Naval Service. Nimitz is currently at sea in the southern California operating area.

Waikiki, Hawaii (Oct 13, 2004) -- Secretary of the Navy, the Honorable Donald England, is greeted by Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Admiral Walter F. Doran at the 2004 Navy Birthday Breakfast sponsored by the Honolulu Council Navy League. The Honorable Mr. England was on hand to celebrate the 229th Birthday of the United States Navy.
