Hours:
Monday and Tuesday: 0900 - 1600 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
Wednesday: CLOSED
Thursday and Friday: 0900 - 1600 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
CLOSED: Weekends and Federal holidays
Policy on Reference Assistance: Due to staff limitations, telephone requests will be accepted only from U.S. government offices and agencies. All other requests must be submitted in writing to: Naval Historical Center, Ships History Branch, 805 Kidder Breese SE, Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C. 20374-5060.
Extensive personal research requests are beyond the scope of the office. Processing time for reference requests is 3 to 5 weeks. See below for more information regarding deck logs.
