041009-N-4704P-008 San Francisco, Calif. (Oct. 9, 2004) – The amphibious assault ship USS Tarawa (LHA 1) sails under the Golden Gate Bridge signaling the start of San Francisco Fleet Week 2004. Canadian and U.S. ships sailed in to the San Francisco Bay area to celebrate Fleet Week. San Francisco Fleet Week is a unique opportunity to share with the American public what today’s sea services are all about.
