The National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) is the only association dedicated to protecting the earned retirement benefits of federal employees, retirees and their survivors.  It is an effective and highly respected legislative voice that has been able to stave off the constant barrage of threats to the earned retirement income and health care protection of federal workers  and annuitants.

The Richmond Metropolitan Area currently has seven chapters. The Petersburg's local chapter, Chapter 28, meets the third Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m.  The meetings are held at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 1769 S. Sycamore Street.  All members, current Federal employees, and retirees are invited to attend.  This chapter actively supports the Fort Lee retiree community by volunteering their time to assist federal retirees and their family members with obtaining needed information and/or completing of any necessary forms.  For assistance, contact (804) 733-0524 or (804) 526-3850.  For more information, call (804) 834-2921.

Visit the NARFE web site for enrollment information as well as to keep informed about issues important to your retirement security.
