Modern Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (MDCPDS) (This system replaced the legacy DCPDS and PPI systems)
MDCPDS is an automated information system designed to support civilian personnel management throughout the Department of Defense.  Click here to enter a site that will allow you to download The MDCPDS Desk Guide for CPAC staffs, managers, supervisors, administrative officers, resource managers, personnel liaisons, and training coordinators.  These documents are all in Microsoft Word.   When you click on one of these, select to "save it to disk."  Once the file has downloaded to your computer, you can use Word to view or print the file.  In addition, an on-line user guide is available through the the Civilian Personnel Operating Center Management Agency.

bulletArmy Regional Tools (ART)
With the deployment of Modern DCPDS, Department of the Army (DA) realized the need for specialized tools related to specific functions of Modern DCPDS. ART was developed as a common entry to standard modern DCPDS applications and to enhance the user’s ability to track or retrieve information from modern DCPDS. Users can capture real-time information such as status of RPAs, organizational information, supervisory ratio, and Professional, Administrative, Technical, Clerical and Other (PATCO) information.  An online guide to ART is available for your use.
 
bulletCivilian Servicing Unit (CSU)
Contains 90-95% of the employment information contained in an employee's Official Personnel Folder (OPF).  Managers have access only to those employee records he/she supervises.

Allows managers to formulate position descriptions electronically.  An online user guide is available.

To gain access to the any of the Personnel Data systems, the MDCPDS User Registration Form and the SANAR form available below must be completed and returned in hard copy to the CPAC Automation Office, Bldg 12400, Room 115

Lotus ScreenCam movies are short narrated demonstrations produced by CPOCMA that can be viewed on your desktop and are used to assist users with modern DCPDS, Army Regional Tools (ART), and other automation tools. 

FASCLASS II
Fully Automated System for Classification (FASCLASS) is a centralized database at HQDA that gives access to active position descriptions and position related information throughout Army. Access is restricted according to user privileges assigned.
