received a commission as an Ensign
in 1991.

At Sea, Lieutenant Commander King
served Division Officer assignments
as Commissioning Communications Officer, Administrative Officer and
Navigator on USS VICKSBURG (CG 69),
homeported in Mayport, Florida;
Department Head assignments as
Operations Officer on USS JOHN S.
MCCAIN (DDG 56), homeported in
Yokosuka, Japan, and Commissioning
Commanding Officer of USS TORNADO
(PC 14), homeported in Little Creek, Virginia.
Ashore, he served in Annapolis,
Maryland, at the United States
Naval Academy, as Regional
Director of Admissions, Midwestern
States; in Washington, DC, in the
Office of the Secretary of Defense
at the Missile Defense Agency,
as Program Integrator, Kinetic
Energy Boost and Sea-Based
Mid-course programs; Executive
Assistant to the Technical Director,
Ballistic Missile Defense System;
and Executive Assistant to the
Program Director, Aegis Ballistic
Missile Defense Program Directorate
(Aegis BMD).
LCDR King reported for duty on board
USS MUSTIN (DDG 89) as the
Executive Officer April 5, 2004.
