  • Extrusion Molding Machine Safety Training Course. OSHA and the Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI) (2004). This product of the Alliance between OSHA the SPI helps to identify the types of injuries that can occur while operating an extrusion molding machine and ways to avoid those injuries.
  • Injection Molding Machine Safety Training Course. OSHA and the Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI) (2004). This product of the Alliance between OSHA the SPI helps to identify the types of injuries that can occur while operating an injection molding machine and ways to avoid those injuries.

  • Plastics Machinery ModuleMachine Guarding eTool. OSHA (2003, July). This eTool focuses on recognizing and controlling common amputation hazards associated with the operation and use of certain types of machines.
    • Plastics Machinery. This eTool module was developed in cooperation with the Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI) as part of their alliance with OSHA. Currently, it discusses guidelines and safety measures for horizontal injection molding machines. There is also a virtual tour of an injection molding machine available.
