Cancer Information Service (CIS):
A free public site under the NCI and is a source for the latest and most accurate cancer information for patients, their families, the general public and health care professionals. The Cancer Information Service is the NCI's link to the public, interpreting and explaining research findings in a clear and understandable manner.

A U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' site, it is a free gateway to reliable consumer health information. It provides users with information on selected online publications, clearinghouses, databases, and Web sites, as well as support and self-help groups.

MEDLINEplus:
The National Library of Medicine's MEDLINEplus Web site includes links to information about a number of health topics, medical dictionaries, databases (including MEDLINE), clearinghouses, directories, organizations, publications and health news, and consumer health libraries.
