Preferred method is on-line.
Tuition/Costs
There is no tuition charge for Department of Defense military
personnel or civilian employees for resident training. Except for
courses pertaining to the Navy's Energy Program, travel and per diem
costs of students are funded by the employing activities.
Messing and Berthing
There are accommodations for officer and civilian employees in the
NBVC, Port Hueneme Bachelor Officers Quarters. Berthing facilities
for enlisted personnel are available at the NBVC, Port Hueneme
Bachelor Enlisted Quarters Housing. Navy personnel who are
traveling to NBVC, Port Hueneme must make lodging reservations
through their servicing commercial travel office (CTO), currently
SATO travel.

Government messing facilities are available at the NCBC Galley.
Berthing and messing arrangements for courses held at locations
other than Port Hueneme may vary significantly. Students will be
advised of those arrangements in advance.
Transportation
No government transportation is available. Commercial transportation
is available through rail, air, and bus facilities in Oxnard,
California.
Reporting
All personnel granted quotas for resident training at CECOS should be
ordered to report to the Commanding Officer, Naval School, Civil
Engineer Corps Officers, 3502 Goodspeed Street, Suite 1, Port
Hueneme, CA 93043-4336. Reporting details for courses conducted at
other locations will be provided in enrollment confirmation letters.
Certificates of Completion
The Naval School, Civil Engineer Corps Officers will award
certificates of completion to individuals who successfully complete
courses of instruction of four days duration or greater. Students
who do not attend the complete course or who are unable to do the
assignments will not receive completion certificates.
Physical Training
The Civil Engineer Corps Officer Basic Qualification, Seabee CPO
Management and Construction Battalion Operations courses each
involve a physical fitness program. Parent commands are
responsible for making sure student's Risk Factor Screening Form and
physical examination are current prior to attending CECOS. Only
students enrolled in the Civil Engineer Corps Officer Basic
Qualification Course are required to bring the forms with them to
CECOS. In addition, the Civil Engineer Corps Officer Basic
Qualification students will complete a Physical Readiness Test.
