MISSION STATEMENT: To support the CECOS mission and to serve the
needs of the Civil Engineer Corps as both a technical and professional
library as stated in NAVSCOLCECOFF INST 5070.1G.
In addition, Naval Facilities Institute faculty, staff and students
as a whole have access to the library facilities and services within
the time and materials constraints available.
The library contains several collections within the general collection.
Engineering and contracting reference books provide resources for
construction and contracts training.
Environmental Protection collection supports the Environmental
Protection Division.
CEC PROFESSIONAL READING is a collection tailored to reflect
Navy core values, leadership and work/life experiences.
The Navy Professional Reading List promotes professional and
personal growth.
A collection of video and audio tapes are available for checkout.
Magazines, newspapers and journals are available for recreational
and professional reading.
A special collection contains books, pamphlets, documents, and
memorabilia of Admiral Ben Moreell, CEC, USN. He is known as
the father of the Seabees and the collection reflects his life
and how he earned that name and his accomplishments in and out of
the navy.
A thesis repository contains graduate school master theses of the Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) officers. These are available as a resource for students throughout the CEC community and others who have a need.
Library hours are 0800-1630, M-F. The library and its resources are available to all who attend classes and to those who live or work on the base.
Materials may be acquired by mail or phone or on an Interlibrary Loan
basis through OCLC.
