In general, the fastest way to resolve your issue is
by contacting your local
Inspector General.
We encourage you to review the 4-Step hotline complaint procedure outlined
in this website to ensure your issue is appropriate for an IG investigation.
If you believe your issue requires the attention of the Naval Inspector
General (NAVINSGEN) or if you are unsure to whom your complaint should be
addressed, contact the NAVINSGEN hotline.

Mail Delivery. The offices of the Navy IG are experiencing a
disruption of mail delivery because of the events of September 11, 2001.
You may, therefore, wish to fax copies of any complaints or
correspondence. Remember, if you do elect to mail us a complaint, we
cannot accept letters without a return address containing the sender's
name and street address. A post office box number without the
sender's name and street address is not considered a valid return address.
Hearing Impaired. Persons who are hearing impaired or
have speech disabilities can find information to include the nearest
service provider using the
Federal Relay Service through the
FRS website.
