Commander, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group ONE (COMEODGRU ONE) reports to Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet in San Diego administratively, and to Commander THIRD Fleet operationally.

COMEODGRU ONE is the operational and administrative commander for four subordinate Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Units, one Training and Evaluation Unit, and the administrative commander for EOD Mobile Unit FIVE, Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit ONE, and Naval Special Clearance Team ONE. COMEODGRU ONE is part of the Special Operations (SPECOPS) community.

Subordinate commands are located in San Diego, CA; Oak Harbor, WA; Pearl Harbor, HI; and Guam.
