Naval Weapons Station Yorktown is the Navy's premier weapons facility. Located in historic Yorktown, Va., it is operated by a professional team of 2,500 highly-trained officers, enlisted personnel and civilian employees. These dedicated men and women operate and maintain their Station with tremendous skill and a great deal of pride. The foundation of our nation's freedom is a strong Navy, ready to defend democracy and carry out our country's commitments around the world. Commander Navy Region Mid-Atlantic offers a comprehensive Resource and Referral Service for servicemembers. Additionally, the Fleet and Family Support Center offers a variety of services which are available in the greater Hampton Roads area. If required Sailors and/or family members can receive immediate/emergency assistance by calling (757) 444-NAVY. A relocation assistance website is also available to all personnel reporting to the Norfolk area.
