Anderson Honors Reagan Sailors With Ship Visit
Pamela Anderson visited USS Ronald Reagan
(CVN 76) Sept. 29 during a trip to promote her new clothing line at Naval
Air Station North Island’s (NASNI) Navy Exchange. “The Navy Exchange is
selling my new book and clothing line,” said Anderson. “I also wanted to
come see the ship and its crew.” Although she
came aboard at the end of the workday, hundreds of Sailors stayed late for a
chance to meet her and get an autograph.
“The excitement level was pretty high,” said Airman Casey Dixon,
of Air department. “There were quite a few people on the catwalks waiting
to catch a glimpse as she came aboard.” Full Story-->

Sailors Show Pride in 5K Run
Sailors on board USS Ronald Reagan (CVN
76) participated in the ship’s first 5K run, Sept. 1st.
One hundred and fifty three Sailors, runners and volunteers participated in the event. Electronics Technician 2nd Class
(SW) Alicia Cole began coordinating the 5K run in May, before Ronald Reagan
started its homeport journey to Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI).
“I was greatly supported by the ship’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation
(MWR)
division as well as the NASNI MWR group,” said Cole. “We had about 25 volunteers helping with water stations,
passing out shirts and coordinating the event as a whole.” Full Story-->
