U.S. Navy operations and defense
of U.S. interests in the North Atlantic
Ocean and is also responsible for
the training/certification of East
Coast Carrier Strike Groups and
Expeditionary Strike Groups.
NATO's
Striking Fleet Atlantic commands
a multinational force whose primary
mission is to lead a combined joint
task force. It is the only NATO
afloat headquarters capable of conducting
complex military and peace support
operations.
