Personnel Check-In

WELCOME!

Naval Air Station North Island is located northwest of the City of Coronado. To reach North Island from Interstate 5, take the Coronado-San Diego Bay Bridge.

North Island is also accessible from I-5 through Imperial Beach and up the Silver Strand California State Highway 75. 

Checking In: 
Report to the OOD office located right inside the main gate in Building 678. Personnel ordered to fleet units based here should report to their squadron or detachment duty office for check in. The base OOD staff can provide assistance to newly arriving fleet personnel in locating their units. Telephone: 545-8123. 

Automobile Decals and Passes: 
Permanent vehicle stickers are issued by the security department located in Building 605 outside the main gate. Persons applying for a sticker for motorcycles must have a motorcycle safety course completion card or certificate. Regular access to the base requires a base sticker. When applying for your sticker, bring your driver’s license, auto registration, proof of insurance, and military identification card. 

Temporary and visitor passes are also issued by the security department. Visitors must be cleared through the security office by hosting individuals or activities before a visitor pass will be issued. Telephone: 545-7413. 

Military Family Housing: 
All officers and enlisted personnel with accompanying dependents are eligible to apply for Military Family Housing (MFH). MFH is limited and must be applied for at the Assignment/Referral Office, located at  Naval Station San Diego. Telephone: (619) 556-8443 or 556-8027.
