Air Force ROTC Detachment Commanders' Board Now Meets Nov. 8

RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AETCNS)  -- The Air Force ROTC Detachment Commanders’ Board, originally scheduled for Sept. 8, has been rescheduled to Nov. 8 at the Air Force Personnel Center here.

The board will select Air Force ROTC detachment commanders for July 2005 report dates.

Lieutenant colonels and colonels interested in applying must submit their nomination packages to Air Education and Training Command by Oct. 31. Send packages to: HQ AETC/DPAOD, 1850 First Street West Suite 1, Randolph AFB TX 78150-4308.

A recent change in policy by the Air Force chief of staff allows a limited number of rated officers in the grade of lieutenant colonel to apply for Air Force ROTC detachment commander positions. All officers must be released by their AFPC functional manager prior to submitting a package.

Application instructions for lieutenant colonels can be found on the AFPC Officer Special Duty Assignments Web site at https://www.afpc.randolph.af.mil/special_utilization/. Applications for colonels can be found at the Air Force Senior Leader Management Office Web site at /external.asp?url=https://www.dp.hq.af.mil/afslmo/afslmocm/. These are dod-mil restricted sites.
