19 Jul 04:   Jul 04 VML goes "live" to the field on the Assignment Management System (AMS) Web

19 Jul-2 Aug 04:  Unit commanders, Requisition Managers, and MAJCOMs submit and/or review reclamas on AMS Web

NLT 2 Aug 04: All submitted reclamas must be reviewed by the MAJCOM

  • After this date, MAJCOMs and units will not be able take action on reclamas
  • Therefore, we HIGHLY recommend MAJCOMs set their own internal suspense for reclamas
  • Some MAJCOMs did this with the last several VML cycles and it worked well

19 Jul - 5 Aug 04:  Units submit requisitions via web-based VML

5 Aug 04:  Final VML is posted on AMS Web (Approximately 0900 CST)
                 ** Last day to submit requisitions

9 Aug-22 Sep 04:  Spring 2005 Personnel Requirements Display (PRD) visible on AMS Web

NLT 8 Sep 04:  Vulnerable officers submit Transitional Officer Development Plan to AFPC

Please remember that access to the VML is based on the AMS profile of the user (Requisition Mgr, Commander, MPF, MAJCOM) and the PAScode(s) associated with that profile

  • Not having the right access level to the right PAS code(s) was the most common issue associated with the last several VML cycles
  • The AFAS Commander's Guide gives instructions on how to access the VML and how to request higher than Member access
