Congratulations Promotees!
| Please note that these projections are always
subject to change. Commanders must continually
review an officers' suitability for promotion and approve promotions in
writing. MPFs provide Discoverer listings to commanders each month for their
approval. Commanders initiate propriety actions according to AFI 36-2501,
chapter 5, when it's determined the officer should not be promoted. Promotions
will consummate and flow to finance files (DFAS) on the promotion effective
date, but they will not change in MilPDS/vMPF until the day after the
promotion. This is by design. If the promotion is not reflected in MilPDS/vMPF
within approximately 5 to 10 days after the effective date, contact the MPF
Career Enhancement Element (DPMPE) to contact AFPC Officer Promotions.
Afterwards opening a Case Management
System (CMS) case file may be necessary. Promotions orders are mailed to
MPF/DPMPE at the end of the promotion month (i.e., Jan 04 promotions are mailed
1 Feb 04). Orders are sent directly to the individual officer and are not filed
locally or in the personnel record. If orders are not received within 30 days
after the end of the promotion month, contact AFPC Officer Promotions. Officers
may request copies of promotion orders by following the instructions here. |
