Q:  How do I get something corrected/added to my record before convening of selection board?

A:  Save yourself some time and follow this instruction:

       a -  Do not call the Developmental Education Office -- they cannot help you.  Who can?

       b - for MilPDS update of past school data (ASBC or SOS graduate;  IDE graduate;  any graduate of an DevEd equivilancy, call Hq AU/CFRO, DSN 493-4814 or 4776.  Be prepared to provide that office a source document.

       c - the above office also has a direct line to the Selection Board Secretariat's office in case any communication re your update needing to be made known to them -- for manual inclusion in the Officer Selection Brief (OSB).

       d - You may also want to call Officer Records here at AFPC - DSN 665 - 2371.  They can also fill you in on how to get documents to the board if time is off essence. 

       e - The point to be made here is this:  For efficiency,  call the people who do the work.  Calling the Developmental Education Office only delays the process -- we are entirely out of that loop.

Q:  When is the next Developmental Education Selection Board convening?  What is the release dates for any scheduled such scheduled boards?

A:  By the time this gets published, the results of the IDE/SDE selection board will be made known publicly.

The Air Force Intern Program (AFIP) selection board is scheduled to meet Monday, 20 October -- that process is scheduled over the next five days.  Public release is not known -- as it is contingent upon approval by higher leadership.  However, we expect that process to take place within 30 to 45 days of board adjournment.

Q:  When is the public release of Promotion Candidacy List for Lt Col (2003)?

A:  4 November, 2003.

Q:  How do I get "DG" updated in my records?

A:  "DG" (Distinguished Graduate) is not an updatable item -- as it relates to Developmental Education.  However, "DG" is updated as it relates to source of comission.  Calling to get "DG" updated for Developmental Education (ASBC/SOS, etc) will result in waste of time for all concerned.
