Air Force announces selections to lieutenant colonel

RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The lieutenant colonel line and biomedical science corps board selected 1,482 majors for promotion to lieutenant colonel.  The entire list will be posted on the Air Force Personnel Center’s homepage Oct. 1 at http://www.afpc.randolph.af.mil/offprom/ by 2 p.m. CDT.    The lieutenant colonel board, which convened at AFPC July 12, considered 7,331 officers.  The results of the board are as follows:

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone:

Line – 1,223 selected from 1,677 considered for a 72.9 percent select rate

BSC -- 45 selected from 87 considered for a 51.7 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone:

Line – 60 selected from 2,255 considered for a 2.7 percent select rate

BSC -- 7 selected from 90 considered for a 7.8 percent select rate

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone:

Line – 142 selected from 3,043 considered for a 4.7 percent select rate

BSC -- 5 selected from 179 considered for a 2.8 percent select rate
