IRS Community Based Outlet Program

The IRS and local community organizations across the country are working together to increase the availability of tax forms, publications, and other tax materials. After joining the appropriate program, we will send you free copies of material (CD-ROM or paper) that can be used to provide tax information to your employees or the public. Our partners are:

Corporations - Large corporations (100 employees +) are encouraged to give the employees a perk - tax forms at work. Have your company join the program.

Post Offices - Postmasters join in providing the public with forms. They will remember you come April 15.

Banks, Post Office and Library Program - Librarians, call us to join in providing this helpful community service.

Copy Centers - Through this program, copy centers and office supply stores can offer taxpayers a wide variety of reproducible IRS forms, instructions, and information publications. The public can then copy what they need. For more information and to join, call (916) 636-7705.

County/City Governments - Provide a valuable service to your local citizens. We will give you reproducible tax materials free. The public can then make copies of just what they need. For more information and to join, call (916) 636-7705.

Credit Unions - Credit Unions can load the CD-ROM onto their Intranet or they can link to the IRS web site ( www.irs.gov ). Members can then obtain tax materials at work or home via their credit union's Internet web site. Members can also obtain photocopied forms at their credit union. For more information and to join, call (916) 636-7705.
