The NCRR Division for Biomedical Technology Research and Research Resources (DBTRRR) supports
infrastructure development in the areas of new and existing instrumentation,
software development, and biomedical technology in three broad funding
categories:
- Grants for Acquisition of Advanced Instrumentation
- Biomedical Technology Resource Centers for Research and Development (R&D) of New Technologies
- Investigator-Initiated Research Grants for Technology R&D

NCRR, NIGMS, and DOE Fund "SPEAR3" Synchrotron Radiation Source The SPEAR3 project, located at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory, was dedicated on January 29, 2004. Jointly funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Energy, SPEAR3 was called "a light source that will enlarge our ability to see new things with a brightness 100,000 times better than we had before." - January 2004 |
