Acquisition Department — About

The ONR Acquisition Department is responsible for awarding ONR contracts, grants and other types of awards in support of the ONR mission. The department is divided into 4 divisions as follows:

ONR 21 – Advanced Computing Environment – responsible for all phases of acquisition-related information technology.

ONR 22 – Contracting Activities and Policy Division – represents the Acquisition Department and ONR to Navy, DOD, and federal entities on a wide variety of acquisition policy topics. The division supports the Acquisition Department and its customers on all phases of contract award and administration.

ONR 24 – University Business Affairs – Administers contracts and grants and other types of awards at universities and certain non-profit institutions worldwide.

ONR 25 – Contract and Grant Awards Division – Awards contracts, grants and other types of awards in support of ONR’s research mission.
