VOTE 2004!
www.fvap.gov

2004 is presidential election year and we all remember 2000 when absentee voters in Florida decided the election. Also, the entire House of Representatives, 34 Senators and many state governors are up for re-election. Don’t allow the fact that you will be outside the U.S. for the election stop your voice from being heard and your vote counted. If you want to vote absentee you can do one of two things.

One: come to the American Citizens Services section of the embassy during our regular hours of 1:30-3:00pm, Monday to Friday to pick up a Federal Postcard Absentee Ballot request (FPCA). Fill out the form and send it back to county election office where you live or last lived in the U.S.

Two: Many states will allow you to use on-line forms to fill out and send them in via email or fax. You can check to see if your state allows this by going to the official voter website at www.fvap.gov. There you will find the on-line version of the FPCA and state-by-state instructions. The website also provides a wealth of general voting information and assistance. To access the Federal Voting Assistance Program Website, you may click anywhere in this block.
