Featured Journal

The special October 2003 issue of Photogrammetric Engineering and Remote Sensing, published by the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, is devoted to The National Map. Articles from the USGS, other Federal agencies, State agencies, private industry, and other national mapping organizations emphasize partnerships for data sharing and maintenance and the importance of nationally consistent, current, and readily available geographic information. The result is an endorsement of the key components of The National Map vision and of the power of geography to understand the Nation's changing landscape.
