2002 and 2003, Command personnel are scheduled to move into completely renovated
buildings located on a historic, picturesque point overlooking the water – our
Acquisition Center for Excellence. Built
for business efficiency, and designed by the users, this facility will be
equipped with state-of-the-art capabilities to better leverage the skills of the
workforce. Engineered to address human
factors, the new facility includes on-site conveniences such as ATMs, open
spaces with atrium natural lighting, enhanced security measures, gymnasium,
modeling/simulation labs, and high-tech videoconferencing/audiovisual resources
to optimize collaborative efforts.
MARCORSYSCOM
is located 35 miles south of Washington, D.C., aboard Quantico Marine Corps
Base, VA. A Virginia
Railway Express (VRE) station is located in close proximity to the
new facilities.
