Based on Naval District Washington's experience with
regionalization of Base Operating Support, we are creating a
strategic Equal Opportunity Advisor alliance through a
regional Equal Opportunity Advisor office to provide common
Equal Opportunity
services including assistance with command assessments,
training, grievance and redress procedures or answering
Equal Opportunity
related questions.
A
Commanding Officer or Command Managed Equal Opportunity
Officer would request Equal Opportunity assistance through Naval
District Washington's Equal Opportunity Advisor, telephone

433-2130.
Requesting
commands will reimburse any local travel requirements if
necessary; provide any technical equipment for training
purposes; and provide copies of training materials for
trainees if required. Training material will be
provided to requesting command for distribution.
An Equal Opportunity Advisor will be assigned based on availability and location
to requesting command; therefore, as much advance notice as
possible is required to ensure prompt assistance.
Feedback from the requesting command will be solicited to
ensure quality and make appropriate changes in service as
necessary.
