The DoN Acquisition One Source web site is the single authoritative source for Navy and Marine Corp acquisition policy and guidance. Managed by the DASN Acquisition Management team located in the Pentagon, the web site offers many features to the acquisition workforce.

  • New simple, cleaner user interface. In surveys conducted in August and September of 2003 from the ARO and ABM web sites, the majority of the respondants said they came to the site to find Acquisition and Policy/Guidance information. The new site has been organized around this request - on the home page, What's New in Acquisition contains new information on Acquisition in general, and Hot Acquisition Issues contains new information on Policy and Guidance.
  • Organized information. The site is organized using the menu links on the left side of the page, in a hierarchy, known as folders or topics.
  • Consistent presentation. Each folder is presented the same, and can contain other items, such as documents, web links, and other folders.
  • Document type icons. Documents are identified by type using the icon of the program used to open them. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the MS Word icon next to them; Adobe PDF files have the Adobe icon next to them.
  • Points of Contact for each folder. Each folder has a designated point of contact at the DASN (Acq) office. You can contact the POC by selecting the POC link on each page.
  • Newsletter subscription. If you were previously subscribed to the ARO or ABM E-News newsletter, your email account has been moved over to the new subscription service on the DoN One Source site.
  • Same access to the same tools from the ABM and ARO web sites. We've moved the previous tools, such as NAPS Online, FAR/DFARS/NAPS Comparison, and Turbo Streamliner to the new site. They can be found under Tools & Assistance from the home page.
  • Constant feedback. We've implemented a permanent method for collecting your feedback, available from the left menu navigation.
