Health Tip: Need Exercise?

(HealthDayNews) -- Leaves are beginning to fall and it's about time to give your yard its first autumn cleanup.

The advantages of yard work go beyond keeping up your home's appearance. It can build your endurance and strength, and can help control your weight.

Raking and bagging leaves, mowing the lawn, and pushing a wheelbarrow help your heart, lungs and circulatory system stay healthy. Yard work also can strengthen muscles and bones.

But if you haven't been getting other forms of regular exercise, talk to your doctor before grabbing the rake.
