Two-Way Integration of Spotfire DecisionSite and Pathart from Jubilant Biosys Accelerates Prioritization of Drug Targets presented by Sreeni Devidas, VP of Business Development, Jubilant Biosys and Matt Anstett, Life Sciences Market Manager, Spotfire
The two-way integration of Spotfire's DecisionSite & Jubilant's PathArt is now complete with the Q2 release of PathArt. Phase I of the integration allowed Spotfire users access to a range of Pathway data that will enable them to dynamically map the results of data analysis onto pathways. In phase II, users can now use the Gene cart feature in PathArt to port data - genes and expression values - back to Spotfire for further analysis.

SAS Available On New Linux Cluster We have recently installed SAS, a comprehensive statistical analysis software package on our Linux cluster. The application is available from all of the compute nodes. SAS jobs can be launched using PBS. Some initial benchmarking results show considerable speedup over local PC performance. If you are interested, you can request information using our Feedback and Issues web page

Consed14 Available We have installed the updated version of Consed, consed14 on our servers. Version 13 can also still be accessed. Consed/Autofinish is a tool for viewing, editing, and finishing sequence assemblies created with phrap. Finishing capabilities include allowing the user to pick primers and templates, suggesting additional sequencing reactions to perform, and facilitating checking the accuracy of the assembly using digest and forward/reverse pair information. Consed is available on a number of the ABCC platforms. Training is available for the introduction to the use of consed along with the use of phred and phrap to generate and analyze sequence assemblies. Training on the use of this package of programs is available at our Training web page.

PathArt™ and LeadActiva™ Software Packages The Advanced Biomedical Computing Center is working with Jubilant Biosys and the CCR Office of Science and Technology Partnerships to provide evaluation copies of the PathArt™ and LeadActiva™ software packages to the NCI community. These packages are fully operational until December 31, 2004, and all NCI researchers with an interest in pathways or kinase inhibitors are encouraged to evaluate these tools for their research. Tutorials will be available at the ABCC website very soon, and a Webex tutorial for NCI is scheduled for late September. The software can be access from within the NCI network at the following locations:
PathArt -- http://pathart.abcc.ncifcrf.gov/pathart/
LeadActiva -- http://pathart.abcc.ncifcrf.gov/leadactiva/
