The Equal Opportunity Office runs the agency's civilian Equal Employment Opportunity
and military Equal Opportunity programs in compliance with Department of Defense
and other U.S. Government statutes, regulations and principles. The office ensures
the prompt and fair handling of discrimination complaints in accordance with Federal
regulations, while also striving to eliminate all prejudice and discrimination in the workplace.
To achieve this goal, EO executes a number of programs including: training in
Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Equal Opportunity, Alternative Dispute Resolution,
Civilian Affirmative Employment, Military Affirmative Action, federal Equal Opportunity
Employment, Workforce Recruitment and Special Emphasis Programs. EO additionally works
closely with managers and supervisors within the agency to increase their awareness of
equal opportunity policies and programs. In accordance of the No FEAR Act, the office
posts quarterly summary statistical data related to equal employment opportunity complaints filed.
