Description: The AN/UYQ-70(V) Advanced Display System (Q-70) is a flexible, modular, open computer and display architecture design which allows for technology insertion and integrates growth capability within its own framework. Q-70 systems are either VME rack-based or workstation-based processing systems that incorporate COTS processing, software, graphics, networking and storage technologies and adhere to numerous industry standards. This combination of openness, commercial technology, and high performance provides the benefits of flexibility, rapid deployment, cost effectiveness, and investment protection to U. S. Navy systems architects.
AN/UYQ-70(V) enclosures are designed to customer specifications to meet environmental characteristcs such as shock, vibration and noise restrictions. This architecture continues to evolve in order to incorporate the cost advantages of commercial technology, the flexibility of customized configurations and the economy of scale of standardization to support the modern combat system developer
