Automatic Document Distribution (ADD)

The Product

DTIC's Automatic Document Distribution (ADD) Program provides the quickest and least expensive means for acquiring DoD-sponsored technical reports in your area of interest. The ADD program provides you with technical reports on microfiche that match your profile, twice a month. Note: Nonprint products are not available under the ADD program.

The Collection

A technical report represents the result of a completed DoD research effort. You can obtain information ranging from aeronautics to missile technology to zoology, or almost any topic of your choice.

DTIC's Technical Report collection contains nearly 2 million print and nonprint products submitted to DTIC, such as technical reports, DoD-sponsored patent applications, regulatory publications, conference papers, theses, software, data files, databases, and videos.

The Search Strategy

A DTIC^® information retrieval analyst will work with you to set up a subject profile specific to your information needs. Your search strategy will be compared with information on newly accessioned DTIC technical reports in the Technical Reports collection on a bimonthly basis.

The ADD program provides the technical reports on microfiche and is priced at only $.75 per document.

Start With CAB

The Current Awareness Bibliography (CAB) Program gives you citations of those documents matching your subject profile. Once your profile is in tune with your needs, subscribe to the ADD Program. Call the CAB Program Manager at (703) 767-8266 for more information.
