Check Your Engine, Kick the Tires
Two distinctly different and exciting presentations will be offered.
First, learn how to find exactly what you need from the millions of pages
on the Web. Discover the fastest way to track down the best databases
for your search. Explore the thousands of online databases not publicly
accessible through major search engines. Come hear the internationally
known Internet Consultant, Gary Price, co-author of the new book "The
Invisible Web" who will lead you to this vast resource. Second, the Department
of Navy, Chief Information Officer has sponsored a new Information Literacy
Toolkit introduced in May 2001. Sandy Bradley, Director, Naval Air Warfare
Center, Weapons Division Technical Library, China Lake will describe the
evolution of this Toolkit with proposed revisions. Copies of the Toolkit
will be distributed.
