The Midwestern Regional Office provides most DTIC® products and services:

Reference and Retrieval:

• Online information retrieval services--Defense, commercial and Internet.
  
• Focus is on Defense-related technical information.
  
• Training on DTIC databases, retrieval systems and applications.
  
• Referrals and pointers to other agencies and information sources in the region.

• Eligibility determination of Government agencies and contractors.
  
• Assistance with processing paperwork and determining level of services' requests for specific needs.
  
• Pricing and availability of products and services.

• Search services across DTIC databases.
  
• Formal, informal, or one-on-one training in using all data products--DROLS (all files, all formats), CD-ROM, DROLSGUI.
  
• Facilitate requesting products and achieving successful service--whether document identification, price determination, order tracking or bill resolution.
  
• Promotional exhibits, DTIC publications and/or speakers representing DTIC products and services available regionally.

• Small Business Innovation Research & Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) Programs
  
• Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI) (HBCU) Program

SBIR support consists of providing direct access to Technical Information Packages (TIPs) and bibliographies, performing additional search services for registered SBIR users, and assisting with ordering documents for contractors and potential contractors. The Regional Office helps potential users to understand the Federal contracting process, and provides referral service to the Small Business Centers in the Region.
