Sergeant Major A.F. Beilmann reported to Parris Island, South Carolina for recruit training upon graduation of high school.

August 1977-Private First Class, Company A, 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Crewman, Crew chief, Section Leader. NATO deployments, training in both cold and desert environments.

May 1981 - Sergeant Beilmann ended his first tour of duty with the Marine Corps.

September 1981 - Sergeant Beilmann reenlisted and reported to Company C, 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 1ST Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California Section Leader.

December 1982 - Parris Island, South Carolina - Senior Drill, Series Chief Drill Instructor.

May 1985 - Gunnery Sergeant, 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina - Platoon Sergeant - Mediterranean, Western Pacific, Caribbean and NATO deployments.

January 1989 - 4th Platoon, Company A, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, Inspector Instructor Staff, Gulfport, Mississippi - AAV Chief.

July 1990 - First Sergeant, Battery A, 1st Battalion, 11th Marines, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California - Southwest Asia -Desert Firing Exercises, West Pac deployment.

July 1993 - Company K, 3rd Battalion, 24th Marines, Inspector-Instructor Staff, Evansville, Indiana - operations with JTF-6.

May 1995 - Sergeant Major, VMA-311, MAG-13, 3rd MAW, Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, Arizona.

December 1998 - MALS-31, MAG-31, 2nd MAW, Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, South Carolina.

February 2001 - 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve, New Orleans, Louisiana.

Personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal w/star, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal w/star, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
