JTAA Mission:

    JITC's Warfighter Support Branch coordinates worldwide interoperability support for the Unified Combatant Commands.

JTAA Functions:

  • Real-World Contingencies. JITC has provided interoperability support to every contingency since JITC has been in existence.
  • On-site Liaison. WSB maintains liaison officers at JFCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, and PACOM headquarters.
  • Exercise Support. WSB supports 6-8 major joint and combined exercises each year by:
    • Addressing interoperability issues throughout planning and execution.
    • Providing on-site interoperability support teams.
    • Documenting communication architectures.
    • Documenting and resolving interoperability issues that arise during the exercise.
    • Providing feedback to the supported Executive Agent.
    • Serving as trusted agent--we report our findings only to our customer.

  • Hotline Support. For immediate assistance during operations or for help with day-to-day interoperability problems provides free of charge:
    • 24/7 on-call interoperability support for urgent operational issues.
    • Next-day interoperability support for routine issues received through our Hotline e-mail.

  • Lessons Learned. Publishes a quarterly report that:

    • Provide solutions to a wide-range of interoperability issues.
    • Provide a the critical technical details for settings, programming, pin-outs, and strappings for many different types of C4I systems and equipment.

    WSB also serves as the Command coordinator for mission-related support agreements with external organizations (such as Memoranda of Agreement/Understanding).
