Child Trends is a nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization dedicated to studying children, youth, and families through research and data collection analyses. To find out about new studies in the areas of teenage pregnancy and childbearing; the effects of welfare and poverty on children; issues related to parenting, family structure, and family processes, you can sign up for the electronic or paper copy of their newsletter.

C.S. Mott Foundation
The C.S. Mott Foundation, a major partner in the U.S. Department of Education's 21st Century Community Learning Center Initiative, sponsors the Mott Afterschool listserv especially for after-school care providers. You can sign up now, and you can also use the archives to browse messages sorted by author, date, subject, or thread.

KIDCARE
KIDCARE is the Cooperative Extension System’s National Network for Child Care’s public listserve for childcare providers, parents, others in child-related professions, researchers and anyone who cares about children and their caregivers.

Knowledge Loom
The Knowledge Loom is a place for educators worldwide to

Promising Practices in Afterschool Listserv
The Promising Practices in Afterschool Listserv is hosted by the American Academy for Educational Development and the Center for Youth Development and Policy Research. It is a virtual community of afterschool program staff, youth workers, school-age care providers, educators, researchers, policymakers, and others with an interest in keeping up-to-date on the latest in afterschool.

School Age Care List (SAC-L)
The School Age Care List (SAC-L) is an on-line discussion for people interested in school-age care planning, resources, activities, funding, staff and staff development, and related subjects. It is co-owned by the National Institute on Out-of-School Time (NIOST) at the Center for Research on Women at Wellesley College, and the U.S. Department of Education’s ERIC Clearinghouse on Elementary and Early Childhood Education (ERIC/EECE).
