The National Take Pride in America Awards

Presented annually, National Awards recognize specific volunteer projects and efforts in a variety of categories. These awards, given for outstanding stewardship of public lands, honor those who best protect and/or enhance our public parks, forests, grasslands, reservoirs and wildlife refuges, as well as our cultural and historic sites, local playgrounds and other recreation areas. Finalists and winners are selected by a panel of reviewers, and the winners are honored at an awards ceremony in Washington, DC.

The deadline for the 2004 National Award nominations has passed. We received an abundance of applications and appreciate the dedication of volunteers throughout the country serving on our public lands. We anticipate notifying the 2004 Winners in mid-August. The Awards Ceremony will take place in Washington, DC on September 21st. Thank you for your interest in the Take Pride in America program.
