Supporting
the USJFCOM Transformation Effort
The
transformation mission of the command relies upon the availability
of resources such as personnel, communications equipment, and intelligence
expertise.
Additionally,
we must coordinate the provision of resources to U.S. commanders
around the globe. The USJFCOM command support effort is critical
to the success of our transformation mission. The command support
team:
Manages our active-duty military and civilian resources through
the manpower and personnel director (J1).
Ensures that intelligence plans and policies are focused toward
our force provider mission, as well as coordinate intelligence
requirements of the transformation effort, through our intelligence
director (J2).
Coordinates the sourcing and transportation of forces to U.S.
military commanders through our operations
and logistics director (J3/4).
Provides and maintains the equipment for our communications systems,
and manages procedures and security through our director of
Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) systems
(J6).
Manages and provides military reserve personnel through our Joint
Reserve Components.
Provides staff representation to manage facilities and business
contracts; maintain physical security of our resources; conduct
historical analysis of command
activities; manage our documents;
facilitate official visits; and provide medical and religious
advice (special staff sections).
