Starting Salary Equivalent to GS 11/12/13 ($48,451-$69,054)
 
Duty Station: Washington, DC (relocation expenses will not be paid)

MAJOR DUTIES

Assists with the financial review and approval of management contracts. Reviews and analyzes other financial and financial-related documents received by the agency in order to assure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and assists the parties to the agreements in achieving compliance. Provides expertise on financial and business accounting matters related to the review of management contracts, collateral agreements, loan documents, entity background investigation files, audit reports and management letters, and other financial documents submitted to the NIGC.

Drafts correspondence regarding gaming issues in response to inquiries from: Tribal officials and members; management contractors; investors; Congressional representatives and staff; other Federal agencies; State and local elected officials; special interest groups; and, the general public.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant must have strong communication skills, both oral and written. Experience with a tribal, local, state, or federal regulatory agency analyzing financial submissions would be an asset. Auditing experience with a public accounting firm or internal auditing department of a gaming or financial services organization would be helpful. An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration or related field is preferred.
