Description of Duties and Responsibilities: The Office of the Director of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) invites applications for a Program Manager, Cancer Nanotechnology in the Office of Technology and Industrial Relations. This is a key position responsible for providing leadership, management, and oversight in the field of nanotechnology to lead programmatic development at NCI. NCI is seeking a visionary leader of national stature to coordinate the implementation of the NCI cancer nanotechnology plan (CNPlan). Salary is commensurate with research experience and accomplishments, and includes a full Civil Service package of benefits (including retirement, health, life and long-term care insurance, Thrift Savings Plan participation, etc.) is available. |

The individual selected for this position will possess an M.D. or Ph.D. degree (or have equivalent training and experience) with independent research and administrative experience and a publication record in the application of nanotechnologies for biomedical purposes. In addition, individual will have experiences in materials development/synthesis/fabrication, physical/chemical properties of nanomaterials and nanodevices, prototyping and beta-testing.
