Upcoming Conferences, Symposiums and Seminars

Are You Ready for Local Program Accreditation?

There are no scheduled conferences at this time.

We last addressed this topic two years ago. Since then, this voluntary accreditation process for state/territorial and local government emergency management programs has made tremendous strides. This past year EMAP began:

  • Accepting state applications,
  • Conducting two local pilots, and
  • Developing an online assessment tool based on the EMAP Standard.

This session will discuss the momentum behind EMAP, provide an update on EMAP activities, and inform participants how they can begin using EMAP standards and procedures in their programs.

Our special guest for this session will be EMAP Accreditation Coordinator, Emily DeMers. Please mark your calendar now for this timely session. See EIIP Virtual Forum homepage http://www.emforum.org for the Chat Login (under Quick Picks) and further information about our guest, related links, and chat instructions on the Background page http://www.emforum.org/vforum/021127.htm .

If you cannot participate in the session, please check back (http://www.emforum.org ) the following day to access the transcript.

Brought to you by the Emergency Information Infrastructure Partnership (EIIP).

If your organization is interested in partnering, please see: http://www.emforum.org/partners/criteria.htm
