HOPWA Works, September, 21, 2004 (2 hours, 15 minutes)

The HOPWA Works webcast will help grantees report on results and meet their reporting requirements. HUD program experts including David Vos, Director, Office of HIV/AIDS Housing, and staff with the HOPWA technical assistance provider, QED Group LLC, plan to address questions that grantess have had when trying to fulfill reporting requirements and to clarify this part of the HOPWA effort.

HOPWA Performance Reporting Requirements, September 9, 2004 (2 hours, 10 minutes)

This broadcast will improve the capacity of HUD field office staff to assess the HOPWA projects conducted by grantees in their jurisdictions and provide guidance to grantees for submitting required performance reports. The session will address the importance of performance reporting and new tools for outcome measurements, discussions on critical issues, recent revisions and changes to the Annual Progress Report (APR), the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), HUD's Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS), data verification and data clean up efforts, and performance measurement tools and systems for HOPWA grantees.

The session is designed for new and experienced HUD field office staff with responsibility for reviewing performance data on HOPWA activities conducted by formula and competitive grantees. Participants responsible for verifying data, providing technical assistance and conducting monitoring reviews will find this session helpful.

Objectives:

1. A sound understanding of reporting requirements for competitive and formula grantees, including the new CAPER format;

2. Assist grantees in the clean up efforts of HOPWA data and to ensure accurate, timely and complete data is submitted for year end reports and future due dates, and

3. Understand the importance of performance measurements systems and outcomes.
